Tone Wille to be the new Group CEO of Posten Norge: The board of Posten Norge has appointed Tone Wille (53) as the new CEO of the Group.

Tone Wille has been senior vice president/CFO of Posten Norge, with responsibility for accounts, finance, strategy and IT, since September 2012. Now, she will be in charge of the entire Group, with 18,000 employees and revenue of NOK 25bn.

Wille has been a member of Posten Norge’s group management for four years and director of finance and corporate governance in the Mail Division for six years. Before coming to Posten Norge, she was investment director at Norfund and senior VP and CFO of GE Energy (Norway) AS and of Kværner Energy AS. She has a master’s degree in economics and business administration.

Tone has wide-ranging strategic and operational experience and an in-depth understanding of the challenges facing the Group. She has actively contributed to important improvement processes and knows a great deal about how IT and digitalisation can be used strategically to make the Group more competitive.  Tone is very involved in the important change processes that Posten Norge is in the midst of and she is a good relationship-builder at all levels,“ says chair of the board Idar Kreutzer.

Wille will take over as Group CEO on 10 October.

Tone Wille is a director of Nordea Bank Norge and Flytoget (Airport Express Train). She has two adult sons.

The current Group CEO, Dag Mejdell, resigned in April after almost 11 years as Group CEO of Posten Norge. He will now spend his time helping to develop Norwegian and international companies, including through directorships.
