Alstef Group has been selected to Enhance Parcel Sorting Operations for CouriersPlease in Sydney

Alstef Group, a respected global player in automated material handling solutions, is pleased to share news of its latest project award in partnership with CouriersPlease.

This marks the second collaborative project between Alstef Group and Falcon Autotech, highlighting a continued and productive partnership in the technology sector. The project involves a new installation at the CouriersPlease parcel sortation site in Pemulwuy, Sydney. The solution will enhance CouriersPlease’s parcel handling capabilities through the establishment of a tailored parcel sortation centre.

The project includes the installation of an impressive 197-metre-long horizontal cross-belt sorter supplied by Falcon Autotech, the largest piece of automation equipment installed for CouriersPlease to date. The high-capacity sorter, capable of handling 9000 parcels per hour, incorporates three induction lanes, 26 sorting locations, and one reject line with recirculation capability. The project will be supported by full software controls and a SCADA system to ensure seamless operational controls, scalability also catered to by design, with a phase 2 expansion plan already in place.

As the prime contractor, Alstef Group will manage the entire job from start to finish. This includes project management and all installation labour, software controls, and the design and installation of a mezzanine platform required for conveyor mounting.
